I’ve spent most of my career working inside financial institutions that were trying to change.

Banks are complex organizations. They sit at the intersection of regulation, technology, capital markets, and customer expectations. Over time, systems become layered, processes grow complicated, and institutions struggle to adapt as quickly as the world around them.

My work has focused on helping banks navigate that complexity and modernize how they operate.

I currently serve as the Chief Financial Officer of a commercial bank where I have been involved in a multi-year transformation that significantly expanded the institution while modernizing its technology and operating model. Before that, I spent several years in advisory roles working with financial institutions across multiple markets on financial management, systems implementation, and operational improvement.

Earlier in my career I worked with KPMG, where I was involved in advisory and transformation projects for financial institutions across several countries. That experience exposed me to how banks operate in very different environments — from mature financial systems to rapidly developing markets.

Across these roles, one theme has remained consistent: meaningful change in banking rarely comes from technology alone. It requires aligning people, processes, systems, and financial discipline around a clear operating model.

I’m particularly interested in how banks modernize their core infrastructure — from core banking platforms and digital channels to financial management systems and operational processes. These transformations are rarely simple, but when done well they can fundamentally improve how institutions serve customers and compete in the market.

My approach to transformation is pragmatic. I believe in starting with the real problems institutions face, simplifying complex challenges, and building solutions that work in practice rather than theory.

Outside of my work inside banks, I have also been involved in advisory efforts related to financial sector development programs supported by international institutions. These initiatives focus on strengthening financial systems and expanding access to banking services in emerging markets.

This website is a place where I share some of my thoughts on banking transformation, operating models, and the practical challenges institutions face when modernizing their systems and organizations.
